“I have been a frequent diner of Kim's restaurants since he first opened the Asian Cafe on the Sans Souci. I am an insanely picky sushi eater, first getting familiar with it on the Ocean City shorelines and learning the art of Sushi from the Yacht captains. I LOVE Asaki, 5 Star, and the Asian Cafe. The people are so friendly, and you know you're welcome and taken care of. I recently visited Kim's new restaurant "5 STAR CUISINE" and I must say he did an amazing job renovating the old China Buffet, and he has new menu items to try, that aren't on his other two menus. If any of you love Kim's (the owner) hospitality & expertise, help him out by visiting his new restaurant "Five Star Cuisine" in the Gateway shopping Center. I noticed business was a little slow when i went there, but only because people had no idea what the place was. It used to be that old Grungy Chinese Buffet, next to Planet Fitness. NOT ANYMORE! It's a very nice place, I was a little surprised and impressed when I saw what Kim had done with it and apparently that's where Kim has been hiding out these days. Also, if you have a friend who is not into sushi, he prepares excellent Italian dishes as well, only at 5 Star though.....and this is just hearsay BTW....I don't know personally because I ALWAYS order sushi. Kim is doing a great job of bringing some of the exotic into the midst of Luzerne County, and I hope he keeps creating new dishes for us to try. Thanks Kim, for bringing it to the Back Mountain & Kingston, and for filling my stomach on a weekly basis with your awesome foods. See you guys tonight, anyway, can't Wait!”

“I have to be honest; I was never a fan of Japanese food ... until I tried Asaki. The restaurant is spotless! We have been back numerous times since trying it on my husband's birthday 2 years ago. My husband claims that Asaki's sushi is some of the best he has ever had (and he is picky when it comes to sushi!). I am more of a tempura type girl (have had the shrimp and chicken) and think it's delicious! I also love the vegetable fried rice ... it has a wonderful flavor!”

"You're food is absolutely wonderful! After going to Katana since the day they opened, I decided to try something new. Asaki is better than Katana by a million. Thank you for the great food, atmosphere, service, and cleanliness!"

"We have been going to Asaki since the day they opened. We recently went to Katana's for a friend’s birthday (they never ate at Asaki's before). Before Asaki's opened, I always thought Katana's was out of this world. Well, since eating at Asaki for 2 years now and recently eating at Katana's, I can honestly say Asaki blows Katana's out of the water for both taste and presentation. The hibachi performance at Asaki's beats the competition by far. My kids can't get enough of it. A restaurant the entire family can agree on...priceless! We love Asaki and we also love the convenience of having a sushi stand inside Thomas's market."

"My parents were visiting me and wanted to try something they had never had before. I suggested a hibachi grill because they had never tried it and I had a good experience at Katana in Wilkes Barre. Katana was closed for lunch that day though. I decided to go out on a limb and try Asaki because Dallas was just as convenient for them as Wilkes Barre. I was very pleasantly surprised, Asaki was much better than Katana when it came to pricing, taste, presentation, and atmosphere. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go there again."

“The atmosphere inside is very soothing and gives you the feeling of a modern restaurant mixed with a traditional Japanese style. The waitress is very attentive, from my one sit-down visit so far. The food is great and versatile — they have lunch menus for people on the run.”

“Wonderful dining experience everything was top notch. The speed of service was a bit slow but justified by the full house. It was a fantastic new year's eve dinner. Thank you."
